2. Services Description
CareerVista provides an online platform connecting job seekers with employers. Our services include:
- Job search and matching algorithms
- Career profile creation and management
- Employer recruitment tools
- Career counseling and guidance
- Skill assessment tests
- Interview scheduling and preparation
- Salary benchmarking and market analysis
Service Availability
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our services at any time without prior notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of services.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
- Maintain the security of your password and accept all risks of unauthorized access
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
We reserve the right to disable any user account at our sole discretion if we believe you have violated these terms.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Platform (“User Content”), including resumes, cover letters, and profile information.
By submitting User Content, you grant CareerVista a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display such content for the purpose of providing our services.
Content Guidelines
You are solely responsible for your User Content. Ensure it does not violate any laws or third-party rights. We may remove any content that violates these terms.
5. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
- Posting false, inaccurate, or misleading information
- Harassing, abusing, or harming another person
- Using the Platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Transmitting worms, viruses, or any code of a destructive nature
- Violating any laws in your jurisdiction
- Scraping or copying information without authorization
- Impersonating another person or entity
- Interfering with the proper working of the Platform
- Bypassing measures used to prevent or restrict access
6. Payments & Fees
Certain features may require payment. By using paid services, you agree to:
- Pay all fees and charges associated with your account
- Provide accurate billing and payment information
- Authorize us to charge your payment method for all applicable fees
- Understand that all fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated
Free Services
Basic job search and profile creation are free. Premium features may require subscription fees as indicated on the Platform.
7. Intellectual Property
The CareerVista Platform and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by CareerVista and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our services without explicit written permission.
8. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.
Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive.
9. Disclaimer
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The Platform will meet your specific requirements
- The Platform will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- The results from using the Platform will be accurate or reliable
- Any errors in the Platform will be corrected
We are not responsible for employment decisions made by employers or job offers extended to users.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CareerVista shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
Maximum Liability
Our total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising from or related to these terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the last six months.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Lahore, Pakistan.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
By continuing to access or use our Platform after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use the Platform.
